30 Days of Gratitude

1 Peter 4:8, ‘Above all else, constantly echo God’s intense love for one another, for love will be a canopy over a multitude of sins (TPT).’

Day 21 * Just Grateful: Warmly or deeply appreciative of kindnesses or benefits received; indebted and beholden

1 Corinthians 13: 4-10, ‘Love is large and incredibly patient. Love is gentle and consistently kind to all. It refuses to be jealous when blessing comes to someone else. Love does not brag about one’s achievements nor inflate its own importance. Love does not traffic in shame and disrespect, nor selfishly seek its own honor. Love is not easily irritated or quick to take offense. Love joyfully celebrates honesty and finds no delight in what is wrong. Love is a safe place of shelter, for it never stops believing the best for others. Love never takes failure as defeat, for it never gives up. Love never stops loving. It extends beyond the gift of prophecy, which eventually fades away. It is even more enduring than tongues which will one day fall silent. Love remains long after words of knowledge are forgotten. Our present knowledge and our prophecies are partial, but when love’s perfection arrives, the partial will fade away (TPT).’ The greatest language in the world is Your dissertation to us, Lord. The spoken word can also eloquently be conveyed through the fluidity of our movement or the intensity of our stare or the gentleness of our offerings. It blankets the magnitude of wrongdoing and is the cornerstone of every fortress still standing. It is communicated in every language of the world and it is our highest calling. But the greatest expression was uttered when you spread out Your arms, encompassing all my sin, and died for me.

‘My heart overflows with praise to you, God, and for your promises, I will always trust you. So I’m thanking you with all my heart, with gratitude for all you’ve done. I will do everything I’ve promised you, Lord. Psalm 56:11-12 (TPT).’
