30 Days with THE WORD
January 10, 2021

John 1:1-2, ‘In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God. He (the Word) was in the beginning with God (NKJV).’

Isaiah 30:18-21 (NIV), ‘Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; therefore, He will rise up to show you compassion. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for Him! People of Zion, who live in Jerusalem, you will weep no more. How gracious He will be when you cry for help! As soon as He hears, He will answer you. Although the Lord gives you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, your teachers will be hidden no more; with your own eyes you will see them. Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.”’

Although a different race of people is being addressed in these verses, I truly believe this is a Word for all people, for all time. We have a Savior Who fell through time and space for mankind, Who is not a respecter of persons, because of His longing for the children of God to be reconciled with their Father. He places the kiss of a promise on the lips of the wandering one, He takes you gently by the hand, and although the road ahead may be shorn with difficulty, He assures the certainty of the way.
Interesting, isn’t it, that in John 14:6 (AMP), the Word declares, ‘Jesus said to him, “I am the [only] Way [to God] and the [real] Truth and the [real] Life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.”’ So we walk in Jesus…all the way to the Father.
