30 Days with the Word – January 18

30 Days with THE WORD
January 18, 2021

John 1:1-2, ‘In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God. He (the Word) was in the beginning with God (NKJV).’

Isaiah 1:18, ‘”Come now, and let us reason together,” says the Lord, “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool (NKJV).”’

I am stunned by this Word. It is a precious reminder to me that He is truly personal and parental to me. This invokes so much emotion within my heart. The God of the universe loves me so much He desires to sit down with me and discuss my sin and His forgiveness. While my sin was so unacceptable and so atrocious, offensive and agonizing, that God the Judge couldn’t betray Himself and look upon my sin. He was compelled to give His only Son to dispel the darkness the debt I owed cast on my eternity. Yet God the Father had a grace for me that was so intense, He would forever view me through the lens of His Son, the lens that left me spotless in His sight. Furthermore, the love that cost Him everything causes Him to pull up a chair in my life and sit down at the table of my heart to discuss with me His thought toward me, His acceptance of me, His purpose for me. I am undone in His presence; God Almighty chooses me.
