Harvest is Coming
Jeremiah 5:24 They do not say in their hearts, 'Let us fear the LORD our God, who gives the rain in its season, the autumn rain, and the spring rain, and keeps for us the weeks appointed for the harvest.
The joy of the Christian walk is the beauty of living in the now. Walking in God’s wisdom for today. We always want to plan and work things out to the last detail. This, of course, is impossible, especially considering so much is out of our control.
The wisest thing you can ever do–and I know this is a big statement, but I’m still saying it. The wisest thing you can ever do is to live in the now–live one day at a time, one moment at a time.
God sees you in the now and rewards you in the now. He knows when your harvest is coming, how it will arrive, and whom He will use to supply it. Our job is to trust Him, that it will arrive. Not to plan and try to make it happen.
As you obey His Words, the result, the harvest, will come. You will see the fruit of your decisions take shape as you continue in His Word. Line upon line, precept upon precept. See Isaiah 28:13.
Life changes one step at a time. It is important to decide daily. Do not worry about tomorrow and the things you need to do, because tomorrow’s grace isn’t here yet. See Matthew 6:33. Live in God’s grace today and see the harvest will arrive when God is ready for it to arrive.
God does not want you to overthink this. He wants you to enjoy His presence today, trust Him today, and let Him take care of everything today. What you do today matters. It matters because each day decides what kind of harvest you will get. Stay faithful to God, and the harvest will be good and abundant.
Run your own life and make poor choices, and your harvest will reveal your decisions.
The best advice I can give you is to let it all go. Let everything just go. Give it all and I mean all to God. You have done what you can. Now let the creator of the universe do what He does best–look after you!
Harvest is not just about money; harvest is everything you have sown. Everything you do in life is a seed, and every seed produces after its own kind. That is why living in the now has such power. If we concentrate on the moment, we will make better choices, resulting in a better harvest.
God wants to bless you beyond what you can imagine. See Ephesians 3:20.
A beautiful, abundant harvest is available for you. But first, you must let go of the reins and let God work on your behalf before you can see it.
I know it’s easier said than done. We like to take control and be our own boss. No one is going to tell me what to do. Let me ask, and how is that working for you? Are you frustrated and overwhelmed? Of course, you are because God did not create you to be in control. He is your father, and He wants to look after His child–you like any good father would.
So, sit back and cast all your cares onto Him—See 1 Peter 5:7 NIV. Let Him lead and guide you.
Once the harvest comes in and your situation turns around, you will be so glad that you did.
