Can I See Content Happiness in the Lord?

Looking out through the window

At the beautiful garden 

I gaze thoughtfully, 

I look inwards into my life. 

Will I be a person

Whom the Lord is proud of? 

Will my life be worthy 

Of the magnificent gospel of Christ? 

Can I look intently

into the Lord’s loving eyes

And see content happiness 

In His splendid, beautiful eyes. 

I know, It is not possible 

By my own abilities, 

But I am made possible

By His abundant, infinite grace. 

Since He mercifully uplifts, 

I will raise up, 

Since He justly gives grace, 

I will stand tall. 

Lord, help me not to take 

Your precious grace for granted

Enable me to measure 

Unto your gentle expectations. 

To trust in your overflowing grace 

Each and every hour, 

And to live a life 

That glorifies your awesome name. 

To stand strong and firm 

In your unwavering promises, 

To live a holy life 

Embellished by your love.
