Have you ever wanted to just sit on the rooftop and stare out over your surroundings? If you are one of those who has been afforded this experience, did you feel the presence of God surround you with peace? In my mind, I believe the rooftop is a most wonderful place of solitude. A place where you can dwell on the wondrous creation that God has given us to enjoy.
If we could set on our rooftops, we would be above the humdrum of the world. We could look to the sky and feel close to God as we pray or simply visit with Him. This place of privacy is where we can let go of stress and meet with Jesus as we talk about the blessings we have.
It is a great thing that we do not have to go to the rooftop to experience this privacy. All we need to get away from the buzzing of the world around us is the desire to find a quiet “rooftop” where we can be alone with God. This could be your porch, your patio, a quiet place under a tree in your yard, or even in the middle of your pool on a floatie. It is much the same as when Jesus went to the mountain to pray
Sometimes, it’s the stillness that speaks the loudest.
