With praise and thanks, they sang this song unto the LORD;
“He is so good! His faithful love for Israel endures forever!” Ezra 3:11 (NLT)

This is one of my favorite worship lines. There are numerous songs that contain this verse or some form of it with in the lyrics. Speaking of His goodness and enduring love. Oh, He is so, so good!!

This verse come to us during the time that the temple was being restored after Cyrus had released the Jews from 70 years of captivity in Babylon. It is the story of restoration after being away from their home for so long. It is the song of those who know what it is like to not be able to worship as they know. It is a song of thankfulness and praise as they began to rebuild the temple from ground up. It is the song of walking in the promise of being delivered.

They were so grateful to be back home, they began to sing as they lay the foundation of the temple. It was their witness to the goodness and enduring love of God at a time when others thought they were never going to worship again.

LadyBug, we too can lift our voice as we walk in our witness to the goodness of God. We can sing praises as we build upon the foundation of salvation because of His enduring love.
Let us sing the song of restoration for our God is so, so good and His love will endure forever!
