And he told them, “go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone. Mark 16:15 (NLT)
There’s not much more to say about this verse than what we have already heard. However, there are times that a reminder will do a spirit good.
I’ve read this verse many, many times and I’ve heard it preached thousands more, so I am not even sure that writing a devotional is even feasible. But when God brings it to you, He has already placed it in you.
So as we read this, we see that there are two important tasks that Jesus is calling us to do. Go and Preach! Simple and straight forward. He even says where we need to go and who we need to preach to. The place is ALL the world and the who is EVERYONE. There are not many other ways for Him to say that. In this, He doesn’t say to “sit and wait for them to come to you.” Nor does He say “tell only those you know.” Nope, He wants us (you, me, other believers) to go and tell all people about Him and His love.
He isn’t going to wait for us to get our act together or have enough money. He didn’t say it requires a paper saying how many classes you have taken. He simply says to go and preach! Whoa here, what am I saying? Well, I am saying that Jesus knows you and what you are able to do to bring others to a place where He can restore them to a relationship with Himself.
By sending us out to everyone, He is saying that everyone is worthy of hearing the Gospel and knowing salvation. He stated that we go to “all the world and preach.” He is saying that every person in every nation is valuable to Him.
LadyBug Jesus knows everything about you and more importantly, He knows who will be able to relate to your testimony. You don’t need to wait for someone’s approval, you only need to know when God is speaking to you and urging you to be used. When your heart is full of love for Jesus and your eyes are fixed upon Him, He will lead you to your “nation.”
Let us be willing to go and preach because of our love for Christ, not because we have a seal of approval on paper.
Much Love,
