For I say through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think: but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. Romans 12:3 (KJV)
Sometimes we think this is only about thinking we are better than others. Yet when we look a little deeper and take this verse into context with the chapter, we find something different. We find here that Paul is teaching about the grace we are given and the righteousness that comes from God to bring us into a place of humility. He is saying tat we who walk in this grace need to be mindful that we do not start walking in a calling that does not belong to us. We also need to be aware of thinking that we are not worthy to walk in the calling that God has purposed for us.
We each have gifts and talents as Christian women that God wants to use for the furthering of the Kingdom. He made these plans way before we were a twinkle in our momma’s eye. It is not for us to change giftings or callings, it is only our duty to walk in the gifting that we have been given. We are each special in God’s eye therefore, He has given us giftings according to the specialness. All we have to do to attain this walk is to listen to the sweet voice of God and walk the path that He lays before us.
LadyBug don’t find yourself in a place where you are walking a path that was not yours to walk; and on the other hand, don’t ever feel that you are unworthy to walk in the specific path that was fashioned just for your feet to tread upon. Know that you are equipped because of your faith in God who had ordained you before birth.
Let us do what we are called to do in order that other women may become encouraged to walk in their calling and gifting.
Much Love,
