Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Psalm 103:1 (KJV)

If you are like me and you love to hear Christian music playing all the time, you will most definitely hear this song in some for or fashion. Every time I read this verse; I end up singing this song. It is one of the most peace bringing songs that I know I can sing and remove the stress of the moment. It not only removes the stress, but it soothes my soul when I feel that I have been hurt. I say that because sometimes the hurt we feel is just that. It not because someone actually did something physically to hurt us, but rather it is because we got hit in the “feels” and we believe we are hurt from that instance of actions or conversations. In all actuality, most of the time, the other person doesn’t even know that we are hurting. And then there are those times that it was malicious and intentional. Whatever the case may be, we know we are to forgive and move forward, but being human, we tend to dwell on those “moments” a little longer than we should.

There have many moments that I have felt hurt and wounded because of silly things that shouldn’t have even caused drama. Being human, I sometimes find myself struggling with the guilt of being angry about those moments. That is when I can turn to this verse, sing this song, and know that Jesus is going to let me know the peace, see His beauty and be overcome by the Holy Spirit.

LadyBug what does this verse keep saying to you? Do you feel the peace of God when you sing this song? Is your spirit filled with overwhelming joy as you sing and know that He is going to take you to that stillness that only He can fill?

Let us know the blessing of our soul when God dwells within us.

Much Love,
