30 Days of Gratitude

Psalm 136:1-8; 23-26, ‘Thank God! He deserves your thanks. His love never quits. Thank the God of all gods, His love never quits. Thank the Lord of all lords, His love never quits. Thank the miracle-working God, His love never quits. The God whose skill formed the cosmos, His love never quits. The God who laid out earth on ocean’s foundations, His love never quits. The God who filled the skies with light, His love never quits. The sun to watch over the day, His love never quits. Moon and stars as guardians of the night, His love never quits. God remembered us when we were down, His love never quits. Rescued us from the trampling boot, His love never quits. Takes care of everyone in time of need, His love never quits. Thank God who did it all! His love never quits! (MSG).’

Day 26 * Just Grateful: Warmly or deeply appreciative of kindnesses or benefits received; indebted and beholden

Your love has never run out on me. Instead, You emptied it over me. You tossed Your faithfulness in the ocean of my life to anchor me when the turbulent waters tossed and threatened to overtake me. Your guidance, like a lighthouse, is a beacon in my searching; I am shipwrecked without You, God. Your whisper is like sonar to me; my heart is directed to safety at the sound of Your voice. Your grace overwhelms me like waves that crest and crash against the shore. You hoped in me so much You drowned my sin in the depth of the sea. Your belief in my purpose buoys me. I want to wade deeper into Your truth until it covers all of me and oceans of mercy immerse everything in me that I have withheld from You. I am engulfed by my need for You; Your lovingkindness is a deluge. Let me plunge in, holding nothing back. Lord, You are worthy of all my gratitude. Like the tide, let my praise ebb and flow, lapping peacefully in Your steadfastness. ‘My heart overflows with praise to you, God, and for your promises, I will always trust you. So I’m thanking you with all my heart, with gratitude for all you’ve done. I will do everything I’ve promised you, Lord. Psalm 56:11-12 (TPT).’
