Day Twenty-Three: CREATED
Genesis 5:1, This is the family tree of the human race: When God created the human race, He made it Godlike, with a nature akin to God. He created both male and female and blessed them, the whole human race.’ (MSG)
I hope I never stop being awestruck by the fact that You, Holy God, created me for Your good pleasure, for fellowship, for friendship. Had I gotten that sooner in life I might not have wasted so much time getting to know You better, falling in love with You deeper, wanting nothing more than to please You and honor You.
Your Word says that before the foundation of the world, You planned me. I was in Your mind while You were fashioning this earth. You knew the space I would take up in the time that I am, and still chose to stick by me even though I would choose everything but You time and again. You inclined to create me even foreknowing the heartache I would cost You, the blight my sin would stain Your heart with, the blemishes I would cast on the blessing You were giving.
God, I hope You know how grateful I am to You that You not only created me but stood for me when I had little to stand on. I don’t have much to give but what I have I am offering to be used by You for Your glory and someone else’s good.
Lamentations 3:22-24, ‘God’s loyal love couldn’t have run out, His merciful love couldn’t have dried up. They’re created new every morning. How great is Your faithfulness! I’m sticking with God (I say it over and over). He’s all I’ve got left.’ (MSG)
For what are you created? He has a purpose designed solely for you!
