Easter
On the first day of the week
As the sun rose at the ethereal horizon,
God sent me a vivacious bouquet
Of myriad hued tulips.
With gratitude, I pulled out
A deep red tulip.
The Lord reminded of His perfect love
To give His own life for me.
With humility, I picked
A pure white tulip.
I knew I was forgiven
And my sins were washed away.
With hope, I chose
A radiant yellow tulip.
For my hope comes from Him,
Who is the resurrection and the life.
With joy, I selected
A cherubic pink tulip.
For all of His wonderful works
Done in righteousness and justice.
With delight, I took out
A lustrous purple tulip.
I realized, I am a royal diadem
In the hands of my God.
