Fall Fashion Finds 2021

Whether we are ready for it or not, fall is quickly approaching. For most of the country that means it is time to bust out those jackets, booties and scarves.
For Florida (where I live) it means to continue wearing shorts and flip flops. Unfortunately we do not see much of fall around here and it is one of my favorite seasons to dress for. Not only do I love fall fashion the most but I also enjoy watching the leaves change on the trees. Even though the leaves are changing colors because they are dying, it reminds me of how much beauty can come from the change and the pain in our own lives. If we just allow God to be the ultimate healer, binder of broken hearts, and lover of our soul. There is nothing that he cannot do in and
through us.
Enough about that, let’s talk fall fashion. Are you ready to find out the best fall fashion trends and secrets before they hit the runway? Lean in close, we are about to go on a wild ride!
Welcome to the 1990’s!
This fall we can expect a come back from the 90’s. My childhood was spent growing up through the 90’s and some of the fashion I really enjoyed, but I am not sure I want to repeat them as an adult. Some of the 90’s comebacks to be on the lookout for will be polos mixed with overalls, t- shirts mixed with scrappy dresses and miniskirts mixed with long shackets (a sweater and a jacket combined). If done right some of these styles can look cute and even classy but they also have the potential to turn out dreadfully wrong. Step into the 90’s with a little caution.
- Sweater Vests
Think about the fashion from the movie “Clueless” and you will fit right in this fall. Plaid skirts, sweater vests and bright hue colors will make up most of our wardrobes this fall. I honestly cannot remember ever wearing a sweater vest. I know many older gentleman that wear them but this may be a trend that I give a try. Since it is too warm to wear a full on sweater here in Florida, I may opt in for the sweater vest. Sweater vests can be worn without a shirt under them
but they look more fashionable when worn with a fitted button up or turtle neck, long sleeve top underneath. - Pants With Print
Are you more of a solids girl or do you enjoy some fun prints to wear? If you are the latter, this fall season will have you head over heels. Pants with fun prints are going to be very popular and easily accessible for us all. I enjoy prints from time to time and surprisingly enough, I love to wear them on my pants more than on my tops. Let us not get carried away with our prints though. Make sure that if you are wearing prints on the bottom, keep it solid on top and vice versa. Too many patterns going on will make everyone looking at you dizzy. - Loafers and Platforms
Oh boy! This is not a trend that I missed from the 90’s. Do you remember wearing those overly chunky shoes? They were so heavy that you literally gave yourself a workout wearing them. Well they will be back for the fall. Loafers, lace-up boots and almost any shoe out there is going to have those thick and heavy soles. At least we will be getting our daily workout in by wearing them. - Back to School Plaids
The ever so popular plaid is making a comeback in those fun, pleated school girl skirts as well as blazers, scarves, jackets, you name it and you will probably see it. The colors are going to be more muted as to fit the theme of fall. Do not expect too much bright plaid but more mustard yellows, grays, dark greens and maroons for these fun statement pieces. If I find a skirt suit set in this school girl plaid this fall I am definitely going to get it. - Over Exaggerated Purses
I am a lady who loves her purses and I mean love. It has to be my favorite fashion accessory to wear and buy. This fall you will see some extra exaggerated purses in the stores. They can be compared to the those big puffer coats that we wear in the winter. So if you get cold you might be able to bundle up with your purse. All joking aside, I look forward to seeing what the designers will come out with in regards to this trend.
That is it as far as some of the major trends that we will be seeing this fall go. I also wanted to touch on the subjects of colors for the fall. Every season there are new colors that become popular. You will see all kinds of clothing and accessories coming in these colors. The colors are based off from Pantone swatches. The popular colors for this fall are some yellow, green, orange, pink, red and brown hues. If you want you can think of the leaves
changing colors and those will be the colors we will be wearing.

- Leprechaun green (18 – 6022),
- Fuchsia Fedora (18 – 2330),
- Pale Rosette (13 -1716),
- Adobe (17 – 1340 which is an orange-brown color),
- Fire Whirl (18 – 1453 red)
- Root Beer (19 – 1228).
When you look up the colors, make sure to read the description about the color that Pantone makes. It is fun to where the color comes from.
