Father, May I Stumble?

The Right Path
Isaiah 30:20-21, ‘Even though the Lord may allow you to go through a season of hardship and difficulty, He Himself will be there with you. He will not hide Himself from you, for your eyes will constantly see Him as your Teacher. When you turn to the right or turn to the left, you will hear His voice behind you to guide you, saying “This is the right path; follow it.”’ (TPT)
You say to me, ‘Well, that’s an odd question to ask God: May I stumble? Who asks that kind of a question? But maybe it would be better suited and less costly later in life if perhaps we did ask the Father just that.
If we are all honest with ourselves, even if we cannot be honest with others, I bet almost everyone can say at one time or another, they made a poor decision; something they cannot take back, but wish they could. In fact, there are not many do-overs in life. Perhaps, it is even beyond that and one poor choice led to a multitude of others, and now there are too many to count. Wouldn’t it maybe have helped if we would have asked, ‘Father, may I stumble? This is what I want, but is it best for me, and if I choose this, will I stumble?’
Maybe the Father would reply upon such request, ‘Why, sure, go ahead. There’s not any mistake in this option.’ Or perhaps He might say, ‘There’s not a right or wrong here, so choose away!’ But what if we had asked this question of our Father prior to making certain choices, and He had responded, ‘O no, child, that would cause you to stumble, and others would stumble after you also.’ Had we had that instruction from the Father, can you imagine what snares we might have been rescued from, what detours we might have avoided, what things we might have not bumped into in the night?
We have an internal personal Guide Who is even more proficient and wiser than Siri. He is always available, always on call, always free to navigate us toward the right path and an ever-present help in time of need. Much like Google, all we need to do is ask, and He will map out our right path, set us on course for the best possible route, veer us from the wrong direction, reroute us when there is a calamity up ahead or give warning of a more direct path that avoids pitfalls and delays. He is our Helper and Escort and was sent here by the Father to us for the specific purpose of giving guidance, providing assistance, being our inner voice of reason. He, the Holy Spirit, is a gift from our Father in heaven, and He will direct our paths if we let Him.
I want to know the Father’s opinion about everything!
Won’t you JOURNEY with me this month as we ask our Father, ‘MAY I?’
