Forgiveness

As leaves wither and flowers fade,
As fall descends and days shorten,
When the heart is wounded
And crushed with sorrows many.

Let joy flood in
As Lord’s forgiveness pours in
And forgiving the offender is done
At the feet of the Lord.

Let peace flood in
As harbored bitterness
Is wiped away with the dark
Early at dawn.

Let love flood in
As healing pours in
And wounded heart is bandaged
With the help of the Lord.

Let hope flood in
With the scintillating sunbeams
And brighten the new day
To praise the Lord continually.

Let mercy flood in
The abundant mercy of the Lord
To live a life pleasing to the Lord
With His abundant grace.
