Home Stretch
Hey, it’s your friend Amy. Visiting you here at the end of 2020. You’ve only got to make it through two more months. You’re almost there. Hang in there. The last two months of 2020 will bring their own challenges, of course. But remember what we’ve already learned this year – each day has enough trouble of its own, right? And you’ll have hope to face each new challenge as it comes. Be brave! Fearlessly face your future. It’s natural to worry about the people you love and to hope nothing bad happens to you or your family. But remember, this adventure that you’re embarked on will have some bumps and peril along the way. Take care of those you love, stick together and make sure they know how much they mean to you, and make the best of each day. Even in the darkness, our light still shines. In fact, it shines brighter and stands out more when the night is the darkest. So shine your light fearlessly, take care of those you love, and don’t worry about tomorrow. It’ll be here soon, and you’ll be ready. One thing you’ll notice as you look around here in the dystopia we call 2020 is that humor not only still exists, but it’s thriving. I don’t laugh or smile, and you’ll find out why if you read the books that have been written about me. But I definitely appreciate humor. A good joke hurled in the face of your enemy, even if your enemy is pain or sickness, is a mighty weapon. It brings a sense of relief and perspective to everyone who hears it. If you aren’t enjoying the memes and the jokes that 2020 has provided us, you’re missing out. Continue to seek out the joy, the humor, the love in every situation. You’ll find it. I’m afraid I have to be off now. I’m sorry I couldn’t stay longer. Hopefully I will have more time to write the next time I come by, but things are very busy right now. Hang in there, my friends. You’re doing great, and the year is almost over.
Your friend,
Amy
