LadyBug, I hope that this devotional finds you feeling loved and welcomed wherever you may be! I hope that you know you are so much more than what man/woman could ever make you feel! You are beautiful. You are worthy. You are precious. You are loved and cherished by a Father who knows each and every hair on your head.
I have been where you are. I have sat in the middle of a group of people and felt alone. I have walked into a church felt less than worthy. But my friend, let me tell you this. Those could be nothing more than lies of the enemy. But let me also say something else. Sometimes, we feel disconnected because we force ourselves to be somewhere that God does not intend for us to be. When we are in a place that does not accept us for who we are, then we do not have to stay. Remember, Jesus told His disciples to shake the dust from their feet when a city did not welcome them or the Gospel. Sometimes, God allows us to feel uncomfortable in a place because it is not where we need to be. He knows where our gifts and talents will be of use for the Kingdom, so let Him be the voice behind whether you stay or go.
I spent many days in agony, both emotionally and spiritually, begging God to let me be used. I cried so many times right after a church service because I knew I was not in sync. Though at the time I thought it was a lie from the enemy; eventually I realized that it was God letting me realize that it was time for me to move forward and into the gift that He gave me. He wanted me in a place where it would be used for the Kingdom.
Oh, my friend, please do not let deception make you feel that you are wrong for moving forward. Trust that small voice that says, “It’s okay Daughter, you can move forward into another place.”
