Hi LadyBugs! I wanted to share with you today a little message about being a part of something bigger than the world. We all know that as children of God, we are to work together to show His love and grace to those who are lost, lonely, hurting, afraid, wandering, and even saved but distanced from God. For the most part I believe that all of us seeking God’s heart are doing our best at that very thing. But Ladybug, there is so much more.
You see, being a part of that commission means that we have to stay focused on Christ and those things that are true and holy. We are to be mindful of the Spirit and share the fruits of love, peace, joy, kindness, patience, goodness, faithfulness, self-control and gentleness. We are to wear the armor of God when we battle the ploys of the enemy.
However, this means we cannot be consumed with the worries of the world. We cannot be caught up in the offenses so much that we look past the hurting. We cannot worry about having the most money and walk by the hungry. We cannot worry about wearing the best clothes and turn away from the cold. We must always be willing to be what others may need. If someone needs a meal, then be the cook. If someone needs to travel then be the chauffer.
Let’s rise up and be as Paul, all things to those in need. When we wear our armor, let’s take the lead for those who are weaker. It’s not for us to save the world, but we sure need to love those in the world.
