Ah, decision and adulting. There comes a time when we no longer depend on others. We must learn to make decisions on our own. Throughout our lifetime, we will face many decisions that will affect many aspects of our lives and we find ourselves going back and forth about which choice to make.
We all know that 100% of the time, God’s pathway is not going to be the highway of choice. God’s plans won’t line up with the world’s plans. When the world says go left, God will say go straight. How often do we face a choice and ponder that being wise in the world is the right choice? Then we find in the depths of our heart that the decision that follows God is the best one for multiple reasons. However, when we look at the decision based on God’s leading, we become fearful that we are not hearing Him correctly. We question why would He have us do something if it makes no sense.
A great example of this in the Bible is the one where Jesus told the disciples to follow Him. They lay down their nets and they followed Him. With no idea of how they would live from that point on, they did as they were led. But no matter what they faced; Jesus was always there with a leading hand.
If God asks us to go a certain direction in our lives, He will be there to lead us and provide for us every step of the way.
