Good Day LadyBugs!! I was reading today and came across a thought about being in a prison that I built myself. We all know that sometimes, a prison is not necessarily physical. There are prisons that we build because of something that has happened or been said in our past. We have taken that word or action and we have built a cell to surround us by believing that it was true. Now we know that when we are faced with good and true words and actions, they do not keep us in prison; on the contrary, they give us freedom. However, when those things are negative and make us feel inadequate, we as flesh, tend to get caught in the darkness of that negativity. LadyBug do not allow those things to keep you in bondage. Don’t let them keep you in fear. They are lies from the adversary, and you are more than a conqueror because of the power of the Holy Spirit.
Being trapped by thoughts of being too old, not good enough, not pretty enough, or not rich enough is a prison that the enemy wants all of us to be bound in so that we do not experience the freedom of Jesus. You see, no matter what anyone says or what we think, we are so much more than the definitions of this world. We are the head and not the tail, we are the beloved of God, we are the daughters of a King, and we are made worthy because of the Cross. Joseph was in prison for 13 years, but LadyBug, he was not defined by that situation. He was still a man of God and he was usable by God. It was the world’s prison and yet, God’s freedom was what released Joseph.
LadyBug I encourage you to unlock the cell that you think you are in by letting God define who you are and where you belong. Remember, He gave His son Jesus as the atonement for our sins, so when we acknowledge that, we are free from the prison of what we think we are.
