Leading Lady Monday: Pastor Lauren Doan, 29 Eleven Church

We kicked off Virtual Church Sunday and now we are going to meet the leading lady of 29 Eleven Church! She is from Arkansas but not calls Oklahoma home. She is an inspiration to all who meet her and we are so happy to have 29 Eleven Church featured in this month’s Virtual Church segment at Christian Women Living Magazine. Meet Pastor Lauren Doan of 29 Eleven Church in Tahlequah, OK.

Cyndi Kay Green: Please give us a brief introduction including your spouse and an introduction to the church.

My name is Lauren Doan. My husband and I pastor 29 Eleven Church. We have been lead pastors here for over two years. Before we came to Tahlequah Oklahoma, we pastored right outside of Memphis in a town called Marion, Arkansas and have previously served as staff pastors in Hot Springs Arkansas and the Atlanta area. We have two children, a 13-year-old daughter, Adelynn and a 9-year-old son, Anderson. As pastors, we have a special bent towards audacious faith. Nothing brings us greater joy than seeing those we minister to realize who they are in Christ as they understand the authority and power of Scripture! When we apply the covenant promises in God’s Word, we can live a victorious and abundant life and see the miraculous! We also see ourselves as “missions pastors.” There are so many awesome works that missionaries are doing across the world. As pastors, we want to shine a light on those works by being a missions-minded church. We accomplish this by highlighting missionaries and their works, raising money to send them, and taking teams on world missions trips to help in building and ministry projects. It’s an honor to serve the people of Tahlequah and we feel we are right in the center of God’s will at 29 Eleven Church!

CKG: What are the other ministries you lead within the church?

I am the Family Life Pastor. It’s my job to help those looking to get involved at 29 Eleven assimilate into our church family by finding a place to serve and helping each family member find their place and their people within our household of faith. I also enjoy leading our women’s ministries as well as teaching topical studies and even preaching! I am blessed to have a husband who believes in women in ministry and empowers me and the ladies of our church to step out and do whatever it is that God has called them to do!

CKG: Do you participate in community programs?

I do! Outreach is a big focus for our church family. We are always looking for ways to serve our community. We want Tahlequah to know there is a church that loves them and is there to meet needs. We typically participate in feeding programs and we love to frequently stock teacher’s lounges with snacks and drinks. We have various outreaches throughout the year including a community Easter egg hunt, a carnival-like Fall Festival, and back to school bashes. My favorite outreach is our Turkey giveaway. Last year we provided full thanksgiving meals to 115 needy families during the Thanksgiving season. We gave each family a frozen turkey with all the sides (yams, potatoes, corn, green beans, etc.) to take home and prepare for their families.

CKG: How can our readers contact the church?

You can contact our church through our website: 29elevenchurch.org, or by visiting our Facebook, YouTube, or Instagram pages. Our livestream and past services can be found on Facebook and YouTube.

Thank you Pastor Lauren for starting off our Leading Lady segment with Christian Women Living Magazine.
