Leading Lady Monday: Senior Pastor Karen Ford, New Life Church- Stilwell, OK

Good Monday Morning! It is time to meet this month’s first Leading Lady of New Life Church in Stilwell, OK. You may remember her from a Women Who Inspire article that was previously published with Christian Women Living Magazine. Pastor Karen Ford and her husband, Max, are the Senior Pastors at NLC and she has been an influence in the lives of many women in the church during the last 19 years. Welcome Pastor Karen Ford to our Leading Lady Monday!

Cyndi Kay Green: Please give us a brief introduction including your spouse and an introduction to the church.
Karen Ford: My name is Karen Ford. I am a pastor’s wife & a 5th & 6th grade English teacher. My husband Max and I have three children, two bonus daughters & two grandchildren. We have been pastoring at New Life Church for 19 years. We enjoy spending time with family, traveling, building & redoing furniture & just relaxing at home.

CKG: What are the other ministries you lead within the church?
KF: As the pastor’s wife, I am director over our church’s women’s ministry.

CKG: Do you participate in community programs?
KF: Jail Ministry is one ministry I do in the community. I along with another woman in our church go once a week (pre Covid) into our local jail to minister to the female inmates. The church also does a yearly backpack give away in our community. We do this shortly before school & give away about 700-800 backpacks. The church also does an annual Foster Kids Christmas party for our local foster care families. We provide a dinner for the families and then gifts are given to the children. The church is also active in our local food pantry, & snack pack program for our local schools.
