Leading Lady Monday: Worship Leader, Student Pastor and Media Pastor , 29 Eleven Church

Cyndi Kay Green: Please give us a brief introduction including your spouse, and introduction to the ministries within the church.
Bailey Frye: My name is Bailey Frye. My husband, Micah, and I are the Student Pastors at 29 Eleven Church. We have been in full time ministry for 6 years after graduating from Southwestern Assemblies of God University and getting married. We don’t have children yet, but we have a baby girl on the way, and she will be here in February. We tried for almost 5 years to have a baby, and after doing fertility treatments for over a year, we finally got pregnant. She is our miracle baby. I also serve on staff as Media Pastor. I oversee our graphic design, website, social media, and media team on Sundays. This pandemic has really pushed us to step up our game and learn how to livestream and get creative online. We are constantly learning and growing to keep up with all things media. Our heart for ministry is to see an authentic move of God that can be felt both online and in our on-campus services. My degree is in worship, so I also serve every Sunday on our worship team. I have watched our church grow in the ability to worship freely, and now we are seeing chain breaking worship that brings freedom and healing. We love serving alongside our staff team, and we love our church!

CKG: Does (church name) have small groups that promote growth in the Word?
BF: 29 Eleven Church has many opportunities for discipleship that are founded in the Word. On Wednesdays we have two adult classes that are both digging deep into scripture and how we can apply it to our lives, as well as our kids and student ministry. We also have a few topical classes that meet Sunday mornings before service.

CKG: Can our readers participate in online Bible study through the (church name) website?
BF: We livestream on Sunday mornings at 10:30 am for our worship services, and Wednesdays at 7:00 pm for our bible study. They are both streamed to our YouTube and Facebook. You can access our YouTube on our website by clicking the “watch now” button, or by just typing our church name into the search bar of YouTube.

CKG: Where do you see the role of Virtual Church in the future?
BF: I think that the current state of our world has pushed church leaders and members to think outside the box for ways to reach people during this time. It has definitely helped our nation understand that the church is beyond its four walls, and I can see it continuing to have a huge impact on the future of the Church. While I don’t think online church is the same as meeting as a body, I do think it’s helping us reach people who wouldn’t normally walk into our church doors. Media is a huge part of our lives outside of church, so it is crucial for the church to stay up to date and connected with all that is happening in the media world. I would encourage anyone who is looking to get involved in their church to consider helping out with media. As things rapidly grow, media teams are needing more volunteer positions to make things happen. Most of the time churches have a dream of what they would like to do, and it all comes down to people being willing to jump on the team and learn. We are so thankful for our team willing to learn cameras and livestream in the middle of a pandemic so that we could reach all of our people.
