Local Boutiques & Holidays
The holidays are right around the corner and I am sure that gift buying is beginning to creep into each of our thoughts. I, personally, love the holidays. It is my favorite time of year. I have had my tree up since October and have already started drinking hot chocolate and watching Christmas movies. Christmas shopping is something else entirely different though. It can be difficult to buy for certain people and trying to remember everyone to buy for can be quite daunting as well.
I want to encourage you in your gift buying to remember to shop local. This not only helps our economy but it also helps people just like you and me to provide for their families. I always prefer to shop local as compared to buying things from those big chain stores. They are not hurting without your sale but local stores will hurt without our help.
Boutiques are often a great choice to buy gifts from because they offer a great amount of products and you can often find something for everyone. The best thing is that most boutiques you can order online from them and receive your package in just a few days to a week. I have compiled a list of a few of my favorite boutiques that you can shop with online and that are owned by Christians so we can support each other as brothers and sisters in the Lord.

The first boutique that I have found and love shopping with is Bold Soul Boutique. They have two locations: one in Georgia and one in Florida. You can shop with them online as well. They have clothing accessories, jewelry, and gifts in the form of devotionals, decor and beauty items. The owner of this boutique has a heart for Haiti and she uses her boutiques to help bless students in Haiti to receive a better education. When you shop with them, you are not only helping their business but you are blessing others in Haiti to have a better future.

2. Freckled Poppy Boutique
Freckled Poppy Boutique is an online only boutique. They get in several new items daily and have a good turn around time with shipping . They are the denim capital when it comes to finding good jeans for you and your friends. They also will be getting special gifted items in for the holidays. But I would shop early with them so that your gifts arrive in time for Christmas.

3. Kingdom Dezigns Boutique
This boutique is my personal favorite because it happens to be my own boutique. I make a lot of customized products. These are things you are not going to see anywhere else. I do shirts, hoodies, hats, mugs, jewelry and so much more. It is a men and women’s boutique. We are even expanding to bring in more products for kids and youth. I run this boutique with my husband and we just started it in October. Much of what we create is faith-based apparel. We do literally have something for everyone.
Like I mentioned, we can create customized products with your friends and family members names on them. This will really make the holidays have that special, personalized touch. The last boutique I am going to share with you is Love In Faith. They are located out of Anaheim, California. They have a huge online store where you can find a ton of faith based shirts at great prices. They also offer Bible Boxes if you want to gift those to friends and family for the holiday. They do have more than apparel as well. They also have home goods, accessories and a small assortment of men’s tees.

If you are not looking so much for apparel but you are interested in more christian gifts for your friends and family, I always recommend Lifeway, Dayspring and Elevated Faith. These are all available online as well. They contain all kinds of Bibles, christian books, music, jewelry and so much more. It is a great way to bring some faith into the holidays and to remember what the season is all about.
Lifeway and other christian book stores used to be available all over the place as actual brick and mortar stores that you could shop through. To the best of my knowledge, the majority of them, if not all of them have been shut down. I am thankful that they are still available to shop online though.
One more piece of advice for holiday shopping this year, is do not wait till the last minute or procrastinate. Several people in the government have warned about not having Christmas or gifts this year and who knows all of what they are up to, but I would get my shopping done as early as I possible if I were you.
