Love Your Neighbor Challenge — Day 5

What does love look like? Love listens.
Love means giving someone space to express themselves when they’re hurting. Being a non-judgmental witness to their pain. Not gaslighting them by saying it wasn’t so bad.
Love doesn’t tell them to calm down, or says that “you understand,” or tells the person what they should or shouldn’t feel or do.
Love means being there.
It might feel powerless to do nothing when they are in pain, but standing with someone isn’t nothing. Who do you know is experiencing pain? There is a lot of anger and hurt in today’s world. If someone trusts you enough to express how they’re really feeling, love listens without judgement. Can you be love to someone today?
