But everything they did, was determined before hand according to your will. And now, O Lord, hear their threats, and give us, your servants, great boldness in preaching your word. Acts 4:28-29 (KJV)
Even knowing how they would treat His Son, God still sent Him to walk the earth. He knew how they would forsake Him and beat Him, yet Jesus still came to earth to pay a debt that He did not owe. As we face those who rise up against us, we cry out for strength and peace. Facing the enemy is never easy and to face him alone is something that I am sure none of us want to experience. So, we cry out for boldness and strength as we proclaim the love of God. We are no better than our Savior and look at the way He was despised and ridiculed. He was without sin and look at how angry people were just being in His presence. Oh, that we would walk as blameless as He did.
The more we profess and proclaim who Jesus is and what He has done for us, the more we will face opposition. Friends who once desired to be around us, may become distant because they don’t want to get caught up in being “religious.” People who once understood us, will begin to challenge everything we say just because they don’t understand. This is why we cry out for boldness to preach. We need to remember that preaching isn’t always standing in a pulpit. It is the simple act of sharing the word of God and how it has affected our life.
My sweet LadyBug, please know that you are equipped to do what God has called you to do for the Kingdom. Just as He equipped His Son, He will equip you with boldness, strength, peace, and hope.
Let us walk boldly in the grace of God as we preach His word and love.
Much Love,
