And I will gather the remnant of my flock out of all countries whither I have driven them, and will bring them again to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase. Jeremiah 23:3 (KJV)

For a long time, I misunderstood this verse. I thought that this only applied to those who were “found to be worthy” of being called His flock. But now, after reading it in context, it is actually the opposite. This is talking about those who have been wounded and banished by the shepherds. This is talking about all of whom were led into mistrust by false teachings or self-promoting teachings. There are so many who know they are God’s child, but they choose not to attend any services because of the legalities that they have watched transform a church into a religious business. It hurts my heart to see them walking their journey without any encouragement from fellow believers. I cry out that they will be broke free from the bondage of religion.

God is going to gather those lovely children and bring them to the right fold. He will bring them into fellowship, so they have others to stand with them in battle and ministry. He will bring them to a place where someone will hold up their arms until they are blessed.

I am so thankful that God will move in and bring His remnant flock back to the fold.
