Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold the new has come. All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation. 2 Corinthians 5:17-18 (ESV)

This is a classic scripture that has been shared so many times. Every time we have a new believer baptized; we mention this scripture. And it is a very fitting scripture to use since it all about how we are renewed once we choose salvation. There is no new thing about these verses when we think about the old man inside of us passing away into the depths of the forgotten. How thankful I am that my old woman is in the depths of having been forgotten. I am thankful for the lessons, but I am glad that Cyndi does not walk with Jesus.

We have all been given the chance to choose this new pathway. We can choose to take salvation over life plagued by death and destruction. Then, God moves in and we find ourselves reconciled to a Father who loves us beyond anything this world will ever have to offer us.

LadyBug you are such a beautiful new creature! I cannot wait to see what the ministry of reconciliation looks like on you!

Let us rejoice in the new. Here is a short snip from another song by MercyMe.
