But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter. Romans 7:6 (KJV)

Because of the Cross on Calvary, we are no longer bound by the laws of religion. We no longer have to offer the sacrifice for the atonement of our sins, and we do not need to go to a priest in order to find forgiveness. We have been given the pathway to the High Priest because Jesus died on the cross for our sins. He was our atoning sacrificial Lamb of God that tore the veil so that we have access to the Holy of Holies. When He said “it is finished” as He died on the cross, the chains of religion and death in sin were broken and we became able to know the love of God through salvation. We are now able to have a new spirit that is alive in the presence of God and not bound by the letter of the law that describes just how sinful we truly are.

How many times have I sat and cried in the pit of shame because I felt as though I had broken so many “laws” that I would never be “clean” enough to be used by God? Oh, Sister let me tell you, there were more than one of those occasions. But the sweetness of being delivered from the law because of the blood of Jesus brought to a place where I know that I will not be bound by the chains of the enemy trying to drag me into a muck of wrong thinking.

LadyBug you are delivered, set free and set apart by the grace of God. You no longer are bound by the legalities of the law, but you are now a new creature as you walk in the relationship with Jesus.

Let us know that we are delivered from the law and we are walking in a newness of spirit because of the love that Jesus has for us that He would lay down His.
