Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God. 2 Corinthians 4:4. (NLT)
The glitter and glamour of the world is the “light” that satan uses to blind non-believers from the truth of God’s Word. He uses every fancy gizmo and gadget to bring them to a place of seeking the material riches of life rather than the spiritual riches. Because they only see the things of the flesh, they can’t understand the glory of God that awaits them.
Don’t think I haven’t been blinded by those glimmery lights of the world. I have had my times of chasing the stars in order to find the wealth of man. I set out to walk a path that would bring me the applause of men/women rather than the “well done my faithful servant” from God. I wanted to make my mark in society through degrees and careers. Never finding one that worked for me, I wandered from place to place searching for that sense of belonging. I am so thankful that I was able to find my way to Jesus and the salvation of the Cross. Not that I gained the popularity of friends or family, but I did gain the closeness with my Savior.
Finding our way to Jesus was the best path that we can choose. When we are hidden in the glitter of the world we cannot see the true light of God as He walks with us. The enemy will always seek to devour us by using the wiles of the world to entice us into believing there is something better around the corner.
LadyBug God will give you the treasures of your heart when you seek the light that comes from His Word. He wants to be the one that shines for you as you learn His message.
Let us look to the light of the Gospel and Jesus rather than the glitzy shine of the world.
Much Love,
