My love said to me, “Rise up, my darling! Come away with me, my fair one! Look, the winter is past, and the rains are over and gone.” Song of Solomon 2:10-11 (NLT)

The words of this book of the Bible speak to the very heart of anyone who is in love. Whether it is referring to a relationship of a person and God, Jesus and His bride, or the relationship of a husband and wife, this book is the Hallmark channel of the Word of God. It is all about the romance!

At first, I really didn’t understand why God would lead me to this verse at this time of the year since we are getting ready for cooler weather. But as I looked at the words, I began to realize it’s not just about the seasons of nature. I began to see these words could also be spoken from one love to another after experiencing a dry and cold season in our faith walk. They could be encouragement from a husband to a wife after they have had a tough few month of financial difficulties; or it could be something that a wife says to her husband after facing a tough illness. Whatever the situation is that has caused a season of winter in our lives, we all need to have that person who will love us right through the winter into the spring. We all want to have that person who is there with us through everything. We want a husband who will lift us up out of our sorrowful pit and help us get our footing on the path of springtime.

We simply want someone who will say, “Come here sweetheart, let’s get you out of the cold and into the warm Sonshine.”

LadyBug we all have someone who is made just for us and it is this love that holds us tight in the cold and rejoices with us when we enter the warmth of spring.

Let us always know that God loves us so much that He makes sure we have a husband who is just right for us. He will send us the one who will be with us through all seasons.

Much Love,
