Then he asked them, “But who do you say I am?” Peter replied, “You are the Messiah.”
Mark 8:29 (NLT)
How many times has Jesus asked us who we say He is? Are we as quick to answer with the words that Peter Spoke? We always have opportunities to tell Jesus who He is, not only to others, but to ourselves as well. There are days He is our provider and days He is our peace. First and foremost, however, He is our Savior!!!
Whether we are facing struggle or dancing with joy, we should always be able to answer this question. Knowing who He is should come out of our mouth with a sound of love. Peter didn’t waste words and go into long descriptions of who he says Jesus is; on the contrary, he simply said, “You are the Messiah.” WOW!! A simple statement full of so much truth! Straight from his heart to his mouth, Peter spoke with love and adoration of who Jesus truly is! We do not need fancy rhetoric or big highfalutin words to describe who Jesus is, we simply need to have a heart that is in love with Him.
LadyBug who do you say Jesus is? This is what we should be telling others. We don’t have to give them a speech, just a statement of who Jesus is and what He has done.
Let us be able to speak of Jesus from our hearts. Simple words that speak the truth of who Jesus is!
Much Love,
