Live Wisely among those who are not believers, and make the most of every opportunity.
Colossians 4:5 (NLT)
To live wisely means we are making good choices that reflect a Christ centered life. It means that we are making decisions based on the Word of God and His plan for our lives. Regardless of what others may think, being wise is following Christ. We exhibit this wisdom when our actions lead other to seek God’s will. Living among unbelievers is not always easy peasy! They watch our every move just get the chance to condemn us for our faith should we make a mistake.
The opportunity that Paul is speaking about is one that brings the chance to compel the unbeliever to come to Jesus and live a life of salvation and hope. Opportunities to be a witness are plentiful every day. We always have a chance to show them what faith is and the joy that comes with it.
Many times, in my youth I am sure that my neighbor lady was showing me this love, and really, I have no doubt that she was one of the people praying for me. This was her opportunity to make a wise choice to invest hope and prayer into a little freckled face girl who had no idea who God was or what He had done for me. For this, I am so thankful and blessed.
LadyBug choose to be the opportunity that can change lives. Use wisdom to decide how to make a difference even if they don’t see it.
Let us be women of wisdom so that others may be compelled to know the love of God.
Much Love,
