Sometimes we feel like our enemies are going to swallow us whole. No matter where we look, all we see is the enemy sending out attack after attack, just waiting for us to fall down in defeat. From finances to friends, the enemy will use everything he can to bring a battle to our lives in hopes that we will just give up. We see it all through the Bible. As a matter of fact, one of the most battled people wrote so many of the most wonderful prayers of all time. David was a man after God’s heart, yet he was a king in the world of flesh. I have always adored the prayers and psalms of David. Whenever I need to pray, and I don’t have the words. I simply open the book of Psalm and there among the pages I find the perfect prayer penned by none other than David. Even when he knew he had messed up, David still trusted God to love him enough to extend grace and mercy unto him. This is how we have victory in the middle of a battle.
In the short chapter of Psalm 3, we read how David was praying in confidence as he was fleeing from Absalom. Though David had a record that was less than what we would deem acceptable for a king, God seen the heart of David and know that he would become the man that God had declared him to be. David’s imperfections are the exact perfections that are used to further the kingdom in a way that allowed God to do what God needed to do to show His people His magnificent power and grace.
LadyBug always know that even when you feel less than perfect, God will still love you more. After all, there is no on who is perfect. Jesus was the only one who could own the rights to perfection. When you find yourself in the middle of some muck, know that you are not the only one to ever be stuck in the muck. There are others and there will be more who find the same muck. But you can be confident that God will pluck you from the muck and clean you off. He will hear your cries and wipe away the tears. When you are in need He will provide. His word will not return void and He will do what He says he will do.
Let us seek God’s perfection and grace when we find ourselves stuck in the muck of our mishap. No matter what we may face, let us lift our voice unto Him in prayer and praise.
