Shine

I groped in the darkness, the stormy night, the scary sounds,
Fear gripped me, I saw no light, I saw no respite,
I lay down to sleep and the night was passed,
Lo a beautiful light shone around me,
The Light spread warmth and joy to my soul,
Wiped out the gloom, the fears ceased…
“Go shine for Me said the tender voice of Jesus,
Radiate my light to this darkened world,
Burn out for me, I gave my life for thee,
Reach out to the weary, the desperate, the hungry, the homeless,
Put a smile on those who feel hopeless, who feel worn and lost,
Share my love to the lonely child, speak my heart to the troubled soul,
I can shine only through you so shine my light far and wide
Be my candle, my lighthouse, my torch, my precious diamond
Be my beacon of hope, be my bright twinkling star,
Shine my light my dear child wherever you are,
I am counting on you!!
