Today’s Hope July 9th

Sometimes I think we miss what God has for us because we let ourselves get in the way. We pray for things according to what we can do. You know like praying for a certain job based on the fact that we know we have trained for it. We don’t stop to think that we can do so much more because of the talents and skills that God has given us. God is always working in us to give us the knowledge, wisdom, skills, and opportunity to do what He has asked us to do. You see LadyBug, it doesn’t matter how much book knowledge we have, if God has placed a talent within us, that is what we will be good at doing.
Just because I have a degree in Criminal Justice doesn’t mean I that is the calling that is on my life. It just means that God gave me the ability to study enough to know how to do a job in that field that will provide an income. However, just because I do not have a degree in writing does not mean I shouldn’t be writing as a career. The first one is me choosing how I make a way to be a provider, while the second one is the way of God being the provider.
LadyBug, I encourage you to let God work His calling within you in His time and on His terms. Don’t ask for something just because you know you can achieve it, ask because you know HE will provide it.
